Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said Friday that federal and provincials labs have made over 100 identifications of the Omicron sub variant BA.2, but international data suggests that while it may have an advantage on spread, there doesn’t seem to be any increase in hospitalizations when compared to BA.1.
