COVID-19: Alberta reports about 3,279 new cases in past 24 hours, 1,089 in hospital, 9 deaths

Alberta's chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said Tuesday that the province reported 3,279 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. She said there are also 1,089 in hospital, including 104 in the ICU. She also advised among those hospitalized, 51 per cent of admissions to non-ICU spaces are due to COVID-19, while 49 per cent are where COVID-19 was determined to not be a cause of the admission or where it could not be determined to be a cause. She also reported nine new deaths.
