87 confirmed Omicron COVID-19 cases in Canada with most linked to travel, officials say

Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam reported on Friday that 87 cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant have been confirmed in Canada across seven jurisdictions, with most of the cases linked to travel. However, she said there are some suspected cases of community transmission.
