Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced on Tuesday that public health orders will be amended to prevent transmission of the Omicron variant ahead of the winter season. While little is known about the new variant, Henry says that until everyone in the global community can be vaccinated and has the same protections as British Columbians, we are all still at risk.
