Abbotsford Mayor Henry Braun said on Thursday that 600 people have been evacuated from the city and water levels continued to fluctuate after parts of British Columbia were hit with major flooding and landslides. Braun said water from Washington state’s Nooksack River continued to flow northeasterly across Sumas Prairie and water levels there continue to rise towards the east.
