Former procurement minister Anita Anand was sworn-in as Canada’s new defence minister during a cabinet swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall on Tuesday morning. Anand takes over the position from former defence minister Harjit Sajjan, who faced months of criticism over his handling of the sexual misconduct crisis in the Canadian military.
