U.S. Homeland Security secretary says mistreatment of migrants not tolerated, investigation results to be made public

The U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said during the White House press briefing on Friday that the department ‘does not tolerate’ mistreatment of migrants, following videos and images that purport to show border control agents on horseback whipping migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. He added that results of an investigation would be made public and that the agents involved were on administrative duty.
