Calgary mayor and Global News election contributor Naheed Nenshi took particular pleasure in the People’s Party of Canada Maxime Bernier’s speech after his party failed to secure a single seat in parliament. “He doesn’t get the purple wave – that’s me” Nenshi crowed while wagging his finger. Nenshi said that Bernier’s speech was “delusional” for suggesting his party had a “purple wave” and added “my greatest dream is we never have to hear from Maxime Bernier ever again.”
