Canada election: Singh criticizes Trudeau government for failing to act on military misconduct

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh on Thursday responded to the news that retired Gen. Jonathan Vance would not face service charges following a military police investigation, criticizing the government for not acting following a 2015 landmark report on sexual misconduct in the military. “That is outrageous, that is insulting, and that sends a horrible message to women that they’re not being listened to,” he told reporters.
