Federal leaders’ debate: O’Toole claims Liberals will tax primary home sales, Trudeau says it’s untrue

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole claimed Thursday that people were worried the Liberals would tax primary home sales if the party is elected, a claim that Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau repeatedly said was untrue. While there is a tax on flipping properties owned for less than a year in the Liberal platform, there is no tax on capital gains.
