Canada election: Trudeau doubles down on gun laws, pledges tougher firearm control

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau targeted Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole on Sunday over his proposed repeal of a Liberal ban on 1,500 firearms, and outlined Liberal plans to strengthen those rules if re-elected. Trudeau also pledged $1 billion to help provinces and territories ban handguns.
