U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday he has “remarkable pride” in the service members who participated in the evacuation effort in Kabul, stating that, especially in the case of the 13 service members killed in the attack at the airport, they “did a life’s work of service in a very short period of time.”
