B.C. declares a provincial state of emergency due to the wildfires

B.C. Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth has declared a provincial state of emergency due to the wildfires burning in the province. He said he was advised at a briefing Monday night that due to the number of fires and the hot and windy forecast ahead that a state of emergency is now necessary.
