Jai Cunningham with the Hawaii Department of Transportation confirmed Friday that a Boeing 737 cargo plane crashed off the coast of West Oahu early that morning after experiencing engine difficulty. He said emergency responders and the U.S. Coast Guard were dispatched and rescued two pilots. One pilot is in critical condition, with the other in serious condition.
