Beverly Spanier, a former teacher, union activist and volunteer has been fighting for the safety and wellbeing of her fellow residents at Maimonides Geriatric Centre in Cote-Saint Luc throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. On Sunday she was honored the D’Arcy McGee National Assembly Citizenship Medal for her community involvement. Elizabeth Zogalis has more.
