Soleiman Faqiri’s cause of death at the Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay, Ont., will be reviewed and updated by Ontario’s Chief Pathologist.
Faqiri, diagnosed with schizophrenia, was in custody for 11 days when he was died following an altercation with guards.
Examinations found 50 signs of blunt-impact on his body, but the cause of death of the 30-year-old man was listed as “unascertained.”
