Here’s how the B.C. RCMP have been prohibiting the working news media as they see fit. They insist their exclusion zone (at the Fairy Creek blockade) gives them the power to control the movements of journalists on public land and pick and choose what journalists can cover. As reporter Paul Johnson explains, “at one point they said it was for our safety but refused to explain what they were keeping us safe from.”
