U.S. Representative Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) called on Tuesday for people to continue protesting and demanding action until the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act gets signed into law as he marked the first anniversary of George Floyd’s death in an event in New York. Floyd died after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin held his knee on Floyd’s neck for several minutes as he pleaded for air.
