NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh questioned on Thursday Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s support to end a ban on blood donations from gay men “while right now he is defending the blood ban in court.” Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland responded, saying, “Our government absolutely shares those concerns, at the same time we respect the independence of Canadian institutions.”
