New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell announced on Thursday that the province is pausing the use of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine for first doses, but will be accepting 13,500 doses of AstraZeneca next week and will be using it for second doses. She added that there were two additional confirmed cases of the extremely rare blood clotting disorder linked to AstraZeneca in the province.
