Girl Guides in the Halifax area delivered more than 70 homemade teacup planters to seniors’ homes for Mother’s Day. As Elizabeth McSheffrey reports, the “random act of kindness” is both an exercise in community service for the girls, and a way to let seniors know that someone is thinking of them during a pandemic that has caused prolonged isolation and loneliness for many.
