Health Canada’s chief medical advisor Dr. Supriya Sharma announced the approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in Canada for children aged 12 to 15 on Wednesday, saying the vaccine was “safe and effective” for the younger age group, after clinical trials showed a 100 per cent efficacy rate.
