Ontario’s Long-Term Care Minister Merrilee Fullerton said Monday that she takes “responsibility” for the well-being of residents and staff in long-term care as the facilities were ravaged by COVID-19 during the first wave of the pandemic. However, she said many of the problems highlighted in the report were “long-standing issues.”
