In his first address to a joint session of Congress, U.S. President Joe Biden touted within the first 100 days of him taking office, over 220 million vaccine shots have been administered, well past his initial goal of 100 million. Biden recounted an exchange he had with a nurse at a vaccination centre who said to him every shot “is like giving a dose of hope.”
