Soccer fans largely welcomed the news that the European Super League plans were collapsing on Wednesday morning, after the six English teams all said they were pulling out. Prime Minister Boris Johnson also hailed the decision, saying “the announcement was the right result for football fans, for clubs and communities across the country.”
