When asked about recent numbers from the chief medical examiner’s office that show an increase in overdose deaths in Manitoba, Premier Brian Pallister said on Tuesday that the COVID-19 pandemic has made mental health and treatment an “even more important priority,” adding that his government will “continue to stay focused on the issues around addictions, around mental health as we move forward.”
