Police in Brooklyn Center, Minn. released body camera footage on Monday of the officer-involved shooting of Daunte Wright, a Black man who died following a traffic stop. Officers can be seen speaking with Wright and appearing to try to arrest him, but he gets back into his vehicle before one officer shouts “Taser! Taser! Taser!” and the officer can then be heard shouting an expletive before telling officers she had shot the man as he drove away. Police chief Tim Gannon said he believed it was an “accidental discharge.”
