China criticizes Britain’s granting of asylum to Hong Kong democracy activist

China’s foreign ministry said Thursday that the U.K.’s granting of asylum to Hong Kong democracy activist Nathan Law is a “gross interference” in Hong Kong’s judicial system. Law arrived in Britain in July 2020 after Beijing imposed its national security law on Hong Kong.
