Empress Gardens Retirement Residence in Peterborough is mourning the loss of one of its residents.
A woman in her 80s, who lived at the home, died in hospital over the weekend after contracting COVID-19.
She is the 11th person to die from the virus in the Peterborough region.
The woman’s death comes just a few days after the second round vaccinations were completed at the home.
