Japan’s chief cabinet secretary Katsunobu Kato on Tuesday said that they were closely monitoring North Korea after the country said it would pull out from the Tokyo Olympics this summer. The country’s sports ministry said it was doing so to protect its athletes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
