Ford slams federal Liberals’ carbon pricing, but says he’ll respect Supreme Court’s decision
Description
March 29, 2021
Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Monday gave his reaction to the recent Supreme Court ruling that found the federal government’s carbon pricing plan constitutional, saying despite the cost of the suit brought to the court, Ontarians would see a bigger cost from gas prices and items people buy, but said he would respect the courts. He said they would sit down with the federal government and collaborate with them though did not specify how they would with regards to the carbon pricing.
