WE Charity scandal: Poilievre in tense exchange with Kielburger brothers during committee testimony

In a tense exchange during a virtual House of Commons ethics committee meeting that saw WE Charity founders, brothers Craig and Marc Kielburger, testify about their charity’s role in potential conflict of interest lobbying in relation to pandemic spending, Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre grilled the brothers about the total dollar amount paid out by the charity to the Trudeau family for speaking engagements. Following this, Poilievre had a heated exchange with the committee’s vice-chair, Brenda Shanahan, regarding his time to question the brothers during the meeting.
