Sajjan says he ‘respected investigative process’ regarding Vance allegations
Description
March 12, 2021
Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, in testimony to the Standing Committee on National Defence, said on Friday he didn’t allow the former military ombudsman, Gary Walbourne, to provide him with details of the allegations against former chief of the defence staff Gen. Jonathan Vance because “any investigation should be free of political interference.” Sajjan said he directed Walbourne to submit the allegation to the “appropriate independent authority.”
