Procurement Minister Anand responds to auditor general report on ship building, says they have sound data to move ahead
Canada’s Minister of Public Services and Procurement Anita Anand on Thursday responded to the federal auditor general’s report that included a segment on ship building. AG Karen Hogan stated Canada’s ship building strategy was slow to deliver combat and non-combat ships. Anand responded by pointing to Hogan’s comment that ship building is a complex issue when listing ships that have been completed. She added that the experience they’ve gained in completed projects gives the government sound data to move ahead, while they accept the AGs recommendations.
