Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott warned Monday that the variants of the coronavirus were a “significant threat” to reopening the province and they were spreading in the province. She spoke about the P.1 variant first identified in Brazil detected in Toronto, as well as a case in the Timiskaming Health Unit that was flagged to be a potential variant.
