Alberta’s unemployment rate continued its downward trend in the first month of 2021

Across Canada, employment decreased by about 213,000 jobs in January, with the national unemployment rate now sitting at 9.4 per cent — the highest since August. Many of the losses were part-time and coming from Quebec and Ontario. But it seems Alberta is bucking that trend. Nicole Stillger explains.
