Singh says Canadians concerned Payette’s behaviour being ‘rewarded,’ calls for Trudeau to apologize to Rideau Hall staff

When asked about former governor general Julie Payette being on track to receive an annuity and expense account despite resigning amid a “scathing” report on the workplace she oversaw, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said on Monday that he thinks Canadians are “concerned” Payette’s behaviour is being “rewarded” with this action, adding that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau should personally apologize to staff at Rideau Hall.
