Ayssa Scipio has lived in the Hospital Workers’ Housing Co-op community on Merton Street since she was seven years old. She knows how important a playground and recreational space is in the community. Scipio has taken on the role of chair of the playground committee for the Play4All. Merton Project, an initiative she’s nurturing every step of the way. Susan Hay has the story.
