January 12, 2021
Kim Armstrong, deputy city manager of employee services with the City of Edmonton, explains how the city reduced its workforce by 300 positions and how it resulted in 60 people receiving layoff notices, saying the reductions happened across all departments. She said a quarter of the people laid off were in management or out of scope, and the remaining were unionized employees.
