U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that free speech was “under assault like never before” and that the 25th Amendment, which Democrats have called on Vice-President Mike Pence to invoke to remove Trump from office, is of “zero risk” to him. He said it would, however, come back to “haunt” Joe Biden and the Biden administration, stating “be careful what you wish for.” He went on to say the effort to impeach him a second time was causing “anger and pain” which is dangerous at this “tender time.” He also spoke about the Capitol riot, stressing Republicans believe in the rule of law, not rioting.
