On Friday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau marked one year since the Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 crash shortly after takeoff near Tehran, telling family and friends of the victims: “I cannot imagine your pain.” Speaking to reporters, Trudeau said in the year since the tragedy, Canada has been part of the Safer Skies Initiative, which has sought to keep passenger aircrafts away from conflict zones.
