Coronavirus: Former U.S. FDA head responds to Trump criticizing California lockdown, says Florida ‘not out of woods’

Scott Gottlieb, former FDA commissioner under U.S. President Donald Trump, spoke on CBS’ Face The Nation on Sunday about the president criticizing California’s COVID-19 lockdown, saying no state has “really done especially well” in responding to the coronavirus. He added that Trump should not make comparisons, either, after the president said Florida, which has different restrictions, is “doing well.” The southern state reported 17,000 cases on Dec. 26, Gottlieb said, and is “not out of the woods by a long shot.”
