Officials in New South Wales, Australia said on Sunday that a decision on whether public New Year’s Eve festivities could take place in Sydney amid a COVID-19 outbreak that has put more than 250,000 people into lockdown would come in the next few days. New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she understands the frustration and thanks people for their patience.
