Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott on Tuesday encouraged people not to travel from zones in the lockdown phase of the province’s COVID-19 pandemic plan to shop in other areas, saying it increases community transmission of the virus. Hamilton’s Lime Ridge mall recently extended shopping hours in anticipation of visitors coming from lockdown zones.
