U.S. president-elect Joe Biden on Monday commended the judicial system after numerous judges dismissed cases brought by President Donald Trump’s campaign and other allies in an attempt to overturn the election results. He said the Texas-led case before the Supreme Court, that saw more than a dozen state attorneys general join in the case, was “stunning” but said the justices sent a signal that “they would be no part of an unprecedented assault on our democracy.”
