Alberta records 1,566 new cases as Hinshaw asks for compassion over holidays

Alberta’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw began her daily COVID-19 update on Thursday by addressing reports of stigmatisation of ethnic or certain community groups and health-care workers. That came as Alberta identified 1,566 new cases of COVID-19, and recorded 13 additional deaths on Thursday. Julia Wong reports.
