For years the Canadian Canoe Museum looked for the perfect location to construct a new, state-of-the-art museum along the water’s edge. And for awhile, officials with the museum thought they had found that spot, on the shores of the Trent Severn Waterway by the Peterborough Lift Lock. But that plan derailed in the fall when we learned that that site was contaminated and was no longer a viable option.
Recently the museum announced it has found a potential new site, this time near the water’s edge on Little Lake. Canadian Canoe Museum Executive Director Carolyn Hyslop spoke with Global News Morning Peterborough about where the project now stands.
