Half of Canadian restaurants at risk of closing, industry association warns

About half of restaurants across the country are at risk of closing within the next six months, if conditions do not improve. According to industry representatives, COVID-19 restrictions are taking a high toll on the food and service industry. As Global’s Felicia Parrillo reports, they say if something isn’t done quickly, it will have devastating consequences.
