A rally in solidarity with Punjabi farmers protesting agricultural reform in India hit the streets on Wednesday. It began as a car rally in Surrey before the convoy of cars made their way to the Indian consulate in downtown Vancouver. Organizers of today’s solidarity rally say many B.C. residents have deep ties and connections to the Punjabi farmers.
