On Wednesday night Peterborough’s city council polished off three consecutive days of budget talks, settling on a tax increase of 2.99%. The budget covers everything from capital projects to infrastructure improvements. The next step is approval on December 14’s city council meeting. Residents will be able to speak to the budget at that meeting, and must register beforehand with the city clerk. Otonabee Ward Councillor Lesley Parnell stopped by Global News Morning Peterborough to speak with Lindsay Biscaia about the budget process, and what’s ahead for the city.
